Digital Art
We call DIGITAL ART, the type of art in which works of art are created using digital technologies and presented in a digital environment. DIGITAL ART is divided into many different categories within itself. In digital art, the artist reveals all his creativity with design programs instead of physical tools such as brushes, paints and canvas. The work designed in the computer environment is transformed into a digital artwork by the artist as a result of some aesthetic interventions. It is essential that the artist's work gains aesthetic value by going through a digital creation process. Technology is a tool, the artist's thoughts and artistic concerns that he wants to convey to the audience are kept in the foreground.
The artist has endless trial and error possibilities. In his works, he can enter into fine details that cannot be seen with the naked eye, and he can produce works with the freedom he wants. The art lover who purchases the artwork produced in the digital environment can display the work by having it printed on the canvas, and also has the chance to store the purchased work in the digital environment. Thanks to digital platforms, artists can effortlessly store their works or deliver them to many people in seconds. Thanks to the Internet and its Technology, Digital art is more accessible to the whole world. I have been painting on canvas for 30 years and digital painting since 2021. Painting in both real and digital fields is very enjoyable, the difference is that I feel more technically free in digital painting. While artists open exhibitions to a limited number of people in certain galleries or indoors, the audience is now much larger, the exhibition area is the whole WORLD.
Everyone can test their creativity endlessly in this experimental environment provided by digital tools. In addition, artifacts can be digitally certified thanks to NFT (Nun-fungible token) technology. Thus, while avoiding the risk of copying and duplicating works in the digital environment, the principle of the uniqueness of each work is preserved.
